Consultant Gemologist, Lecturer & Author in Gemology with extensive experience in professional Gemological education, research & course development over 25 years. He holds a Diploma in Gemology from the Gemmological Association of Great Britain and became a Fellow Member of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain in 1998.

Mr. Yahampath has contributed as a resource person to the development of national standards in gemological education in Sri Lanka. He has served as President of the Gemmologists Association of Sri Lanka (2018-2019) and held the position of Asst. Secretary of the Organization of Professional Associations in Sri Lanka.

His over 30 years of vast knowledge, skills & experience in Gemology, Gem industry, Leadership in professional associations, career guidance, curriculum development & professional development activities have contributed to success of the IGA
